Essrea Cherin teaches conflict resolution techniques that transform damaging relationships and lead to harmony in the work-place, at home, and in every day interactions.
Essrea teaches conflict management techniques to diverse audiences and clients. She has been an Adjunct Faculty member in the Communications Department at Regis University for over 15 years.
She has extensive experience in reconciliation endeavors including the following:
- Boulder-Nablus Sister City Project - Co-Founder and Board Chair of an organization designed to inspire friendships between citizens of Boulder, CO and Nablus, Palestine.
- ReSolutionaries, Inc. - COO of Restorative Practices organization that teaches individuals and organizations how to prevent, resolve, and transform conflict.
- Gender Reconciliation International (GRI) - Operations Manager for GRI, a burgeoning new field of transformational healing and reconciliation between women and men.
- The Satyana Institute - Director of the Dawn of InterSpirituality Conference: an International Conference on Interspirituality a gathering to celebrate our ‘oneness’ with a diverse array of faiths represented.
- Dr. William Ury - Business Manager for globally sought negotiation expert and peacemaker, helping people around the world 'Get to Yes!'
- Abraham's Path - Coordinator of the Board of Directors for a hiking trail and pilgrimage route that retraces Abraham's footsteps in the Middle East.
- Longmont Community Justice Parntership - Conference Coordinator for a Restorative Justice non-profit, creating healing resolutions for victims and offenders of crime.
Her life as a peacemaker is rooted in an early adventure as a ‘global peace-walker’, having the unique distinction of being one of a handful of women to have circumnavigated the globe largely on foot. It is this rare feat that is illustrative of her unmatched determination, courage and conviction in achieving her goals.
Essrea holds an M.A. in Communications & Conflict Management from Denver University and a B.S. in Marketing from SUNY Albany.
